Strengthening ties between MAFI and MAPSO

MAFI underscores the valuable contributions of the MAFI Parents of Scholars Organization (MAPSO) to ensure the welfare of its scholars especially in providing guidance and closely monitoring their academic performance. The foundation also recognizes the important role of the parents/guardians in inculcating values that will help them strengthen their character.

Along with this, and with MAFI’s continued efforts to strengthen its partnership with MAPSO, the foundation recognized the need to revisit and review the latter’s Constitution-and-By-Laws (CBL) with the end goal of making it more relevant and responsive to the current situation of the scholars, their parents/guardians, and of the foundation. Thus, after MAPSO’s successful election and installation of its new officers in September 2021, the said CBL was tabled for discussion on February 8, 2022 at the MAFI Function Hall. The review was facilitated by Pastor Reynaldo Anap, Sr., MAPSO Vice-President and participated in by the following officers, namely, Mrs. Noemie Daquipil (Secretary), Mrs. Whendielyn Edis (Auditor), Mrs. Rosalie Ranada (P.I.O.), Mrs. Janilyn Addy (Business Manager), and Mrs. Maria Lyn Marcha (attending as representative of the President). Mr. Armando C. Pacudan, MAFI Executive Director, gave the opening message to inspire the group and set the tone of the activity. Some staff provided technical and administrative support.

This workshop provided the opportunity for the MAPSO officers to understand their purpose better and maximize potential to help their children appreciate their journey as scholars and have a meaningful partnership with MAFI.

MAPSO plans to convene again to brainstorm and come up with concrete projects and activities that will support and complement the initiatives and programs of the foundation.
