MAFI welcomes 3 new Trustees
The Mount Apo Foundation, Inc., announced the admission of three new Trustees. Their three-year terms commenced last July 21, 2016 in time for the conduct of Member’s Annual General Assembly wherein the BOT, sitting en banc, elected their new set of officers.
Joining in the new set of trustees were Mr. Martin V. Daza, the EDC’s OIC –SBU Head of Mt. Apo Geothermal Production Field in Kidapawan City; Mr. Joemil S. Montebon, Executive Director of Kasilak Foundation, Inc. (KFI) a Davao-Cotabato based NGO of DOLE Stanfilco Phils., and the return of Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista, representing the host city LGU Kidapawan.
Mr. Daza, who eventually was elected as President during the BOT meeting, replaced the out-going Engr. Alejandro V. Catacutan, who had relinquished his post as BOT President due to his retirement in EDC last year.
Mr. Montebon was chosen by the BOT to represent the NGO sector. Under MAFI’s Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws, an NGO representative was provided a seat in the BOT.
Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista, representing host LGU Kidapawan City, is an old-time member of MAFI and former VP from year 2000 to 2013.(JAC)
