MAFI BOT Holds 1st Meeting For 2011
The Board of Trustees of the Mount Apo Foundation, Inc. (MAFI) on March 21, 2011 held its first meeting for the year 2011 at the MAFI Boardroom. The meeting was presided by the chairman, Marcelino Tongco.
Atty. Ermelo Libre, MAFI Executive Director rendered an Operations Report covering the period January 1 to December 31, 2010, highlighting updates on continuing projects like the Collegiate Degree Scholarship Project (CDSP), High School Financial Assistance Project (HSFAP), Teachers-to-the-Barangay Project (TTBP), Law Scholarship Grant Project (LSGP) and Masters-in-Education Scholarship Project (MESP). He also presented the revised implementation guidelines for the HSFAP and the new CDSP and TVSP handbooks.
Mr. Mario Aniciete, Program Director, on the other hand, gave a report on the cost performance of the administration and operations divisions during the year. He also presented for approval of the Board the Foundation’s Budget for the year 2011.
In attendance were the following members of the Board: Manuel Llaneza (Dept. of Energy); Alejandro Catacutan (Mindanao Geothermal Production Field); Hon. Emmylou Taliño-Mendoza (LGU-Cotabato); Hon. Joseph Evangelista (LGU-Kidapawan City); Damaso Bayawan (LGU-ILomavis); Datu Samuel Asicam, Sr. (Tribal Sector); and Lucio Serrano (NGO Sector). Also in attendance were Agnes de Jesus, BOT consultant and the following BOT Observers, namely: Basilio Obillo, Office of Rep. Nancy Catamco; Datu Fermin Pinantao, IP leader-Kidapawan City; Datu Ernesto Lambac, IP leader-Makilala; and Bae Marcela Aba, IP leader-Magpet. Attty. Jasmin Medina-Almogino, assistance corporate secretary, recorded the meeting’s proceedings.
