MAFI holds 19th year Members’ Annual Assembly
The Mount Apo Foundation, Inc. (MAFI) officers and members convened last June 6, 2012 to observe its 19th Members Annual Assembly.
The assembly which was held at AJ Hotel at Plaridel St., Kidapawan City was attended by original and new members of the foundation since its time of inception in 1993.
Among the notable persons who were presentduring the assembly were Vice Governor Gregorio Ipong, Vice Mayor Joseph Evangelista, MAFI Chairman MarcelinoTongco, EDC’s Agnes De Jesus, CTCC Chairman SamuelAsicam and other tribal leaders who have been part of MAFI’s 19 years of existence. MAFI scholar-graduates who were accepted as members of the foundation in 2004 also attended the annual assembly.
These original members were part of the initial member-stakeholders of the Multi Sectoral Group (MSG) that later transformed into a foundation to manage the development fund coming from the operation of the Mt. Apo geothermal plants.
The assembly was highlighted by the messages of the Board Chairman and MAFI President. The Treasurer of the foundation also made a financial report on the operations of the foundation.
The assembly ended with the meeting of the Board of Trustees concerning matters of relevance to various projects and programs of the foundation.
