New MAFI Library now operational
The new MAFI Library inside scholars dormitory
By the end of first semester of school year 2012-2013, MAFI Library will be opened to its clientele for use. The Library located inside the MAFI dormitory, is established to provide educational information services to the foundation’s scholars, employees and staff, project beneficiaries and others through a well-organized library facility.
MAFI Library materials are catalogued, classified and/or indexed according to accepted standards of bibliographic description and system of classifications. The system permits concurrent or simultaneous use by the library clientele.
A Library Administrator coming from MAFI staff and library staff, chosen from existing senior or graduating scholars will be in-charged to supervise the daily operation of the library Categorized as primary clienteles are existing Collegiate Degree Scholars, Technical Vocational Scholars, Law Scholars, Master in Education Scholars, volunteers in the Teachers-to-the Barangay Project, members of Cotabato Tribal Consultative Council Devt., Inc. (CTTDI) employees and staff of MAFI and the members of Board of Trustees.
The secondary clientele of the library are relatives up to fourth civil degree of the MAFI scholars, teachers or classmates of MAFI scholars, MAFI scholar-graduates and EDC employees in MGPF.
Policies in the use of library and its materials are also being put in place to ensure smooth operations.
Presently, MAFI library maintains 800 collection of books classified into different area and expected to increase by the time book donations will flow in from the donors. Four computer facility units with internet access are also in the library and open to its users.
Available MAFI’s library hours will be from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm for primary clienteles and 8:30 am to 4:00 pm for other clienteles.
