MAFI ADOPTS 5 NEW HIGH SCHOOLS FOR HSFAP
Five (5) newly opened high schools in MAFI’s Area of Responsibility which have signified interest to be included in MAFI’s High school Financial Assistance Project (HSFAP) were given approval by MAFI’s Board of Trustees (BOT)
The five new high schools are 1. Mua-an Integrated Schools (MIS) in Barangay Mua-an; 2. Agco Integrated Schools (AIS) in Sitio Agco, Barangay Ilomavis; 3. Sumayahon Integrated Schools (SIS) in Sitio Sumayahon, Barangay Perez all from Kidapawan City and 4. Garsika High School (GHS) in Barangay Garsika; 5. Sarip High School (SHS) in Barangay Buhay from Makilala, Cotabato.
The new high schools will be in addition to the existing seventeen (17) high school beneficiaries of HSFAP of MAFI. These new beneficiary-schools will become members of the MAFI-assisted Secondary Schools Association (MAFI-ASSA) and be part in crafting policy directions for the project’s continuing implementation. The newly adopted schools will now enjoy the same benefits privileges given to MAFI-ASSA member schools.
Beginning school year 2011-12, the HSFAP of Mount Apo Foundation, Inc. (MAFI) is focused on the poorest of the poor (PoP) high school students. MAFI allocates P490.00 for each identified PoP student as financial assistance to various activities and projects of PTA, SBO, student clubs and homeroom organizations. MAFI financial assistance also covers athletics, first aid medicines, accident support and other student services. As agreed, PoP high school students are exempted from additional fees except those specifically identified in the memorandum of agreement.
