MAFI Supports New Batch of SHS Scholars for SY2021-2022; 2022-2023

After the rigorous four stages of recruitment and processing of scholarship applicants, the MAFI Screening and Selection Committee is happy to announce the 10 new intake of Senior High School to College Educational Assistance Project (SHS-CEAP) scholars coming from the area of responsibility (AOR) within the 10 km. radius of the Mt. Apo Natural Park covering the city of Kidapawan and the municipalities of Magpet and Makilala in North Cotabato.

Batch 1-MOA Signing with Scholars (Sherwin Eman, Randy Marga, Jr, Mery Key Betil, and Anecito Clatero, Jr.) and Parents/Guardians

The lucky SHS scholars who made it to the top 10 have recently signed the memorandum of agreement (MOA) to bind the partnership among MAFI, the scholar and the parent/guardian for the SHS-CEAP program. Ninety per cent of the poor but deserving scholars who have been selected are coming from the indigenous people and 10% comes from the non-IP group. They are as follows:
Municipality of Magpet
1. Merry Key Betil (IP; Barangay Tagbak)
2. Anecito Clatero, Jr. (IP; Barangay Bongolanon)
3. Sherwin Eman (IP, Barangay Sallab)
4. Raffigie Landim (IP; Barangay Manobo)
5. Randy Marga, Jr. (IP; Barangay Ilian)
Municipality of Makilala
6. Phoebe Kate Daquipil (Non-IP; Barangay Malasila)
7. Whendielyn Edis (IP; Barangay Indangan)
8. Jelyn Addy (IP; Barangay Indangan)
City of Kidapawan
9. Alvin Abrenica (IP; Barangay Mua-an)
10.Rashty Nonday (IP; Barangay Perez)
The new batch of SHS-CEAP grantees are currently being enrolled at the Kidapawan City National High School, and will be supported by the foundation in the next two years of their high school education, which will prepare them for college education. As a requirement, the scholars will be evaluated of their performance during their two-year SHS stint before they can move up to college scholarship.
As part of MAFI’s Educational Development Program (EDP), its banner program, the foundation provides scholarship grants for senior high school and collegiate level to qualified and deserving students within and around Mt. Apo Natural Park.
As we accompany the 10 new SHS scholars in their journey, let us warmly welcome them into the MAFI family and provide the necessary support as they chase their dreams – be it financial, technical, moral, intellectual, or spiritual – for them to become well-rounded persons.

Congratulations to our new SHS scholars for SY 2021-2022; and SY 2022-2023!
