Dressmaking Skills Training Project
The Dressmaking Skills Training Project (DSTP) conducts dressmaking skill training to equip the trainees with skills they can use for household needs or for income-generation. The foundation shoulders the honorarium of trainor while some training materials (textiles, thread, buttons, zippers, etc.) are provided by the participating barangay. DSTP is implemented with close coordination with barangay officials who assist in the selection of project participants.
DSTP uses the seventeen (17) sewing machines donated to the foundation by the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. In addition to formal dressmaking trainings, these sewing machines are also used by the barangays and other community-based association for their dressmaking activities or other income-generating projects that requires the use of sewing machines.
