Mt. Apo Park Preservation & Protection Project
Mt. Apo Park Preservation and Protection Project (MAPPP) conducts activities for the preservation and protection of Mt. Apo Natural Park through operation “linis”, graffiti clean-up drive and tree planting. It provides support to responsible eco-tourism activities of local government units and conducts park monitoring and evaluation for policy consideration by the Mt. Apo Protected Area Management Board (PAMB). MAPPP also facilitates various advocacy and initiatives that promotes greater awareness and commitment from stakeholders on sustainable mountain development that ensures preservation and protection of the park’s biodiversity.
All project implementations are closely coordinated with various stakeholders like the local government units of Kidapawan City, Municipalities of Magpet and Makilala and the province of North Cotabato, the Mt. Apo National Park Protected Area Management Board (MANP-PAMB), ancestral domain claimants, tribal leaders and other park stakeholders.
