In an unprecedented first recognition by an external entity, MAFI is proudest as it received three (3) Anvil Awards for programs and tools categories during the 55th Anvil Awards ceremonies sponsored by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) held on February 28, 2020, at the Manila Hotel.
After satisfactorily passing the regular performance evaluation of its operations and compliance with the DSWD requirements after three years (for the first level standards), MAFI was awarded its renewal of Certificate of Accreditation and Registration Certificate and License to Operate for another three years covering July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2022.
The years 2018 and 2019 were the periods of program and strategic review of the foundation’s directions and the implementation of the necessary changes, the creation and strengthening of the Executive Committee, the sub-Board committees on Education, Community and Environment, and Tribal Welfare, and most importantly, the turn-over of responsibilities from the outgoing BOT members to the incoming trustees.
The branding project was pushed and realized when the new Executive Director, with the guidance of the Board President, joined MAFI in February 2019, and where a Manila-based creative design company named Works of Heart Creatives, Inc. was engaged for a three-month contract.
