Uplifts the welfare of the indigenous peoples/cultural communities within and around the Mount Apo Natural Park through the formulation and implementation of a well-rounded, responsive and sustained tribal upliftment activities.

The strategic plan mandates MAFI to focus its interventions to enhance and preserve the culture and traditions of the older and younger generation of IPs. These include, among others: 1) IP Governance Development Project involving Indigenous Political Structure Development (IPSD), and Strengthening of the Cotabato Tribal Consultative Council for Development, Inc. (CTCCDI); and, 2) School of Living Traditions. MAFI also embarks on the active involvement of CTCCDI members to provide the cultural values formation for its scholar-grantees, and to connect and pass on the Indigenous Knowledge, Systems, and Practices (IKSP) from the first generation to the successor generation of IPs.
